Porto Del Colombo

The Hotel Porto del Colombo is a fully renovated beautiful Venetian building located on the western-side of the Old Town of Chania, just a few meters away from the edge of the Old Harbor, blending perfectly into a neighborhood that consists of other similar restored and re-decorated Venetian buildings. The Hotel Porto Del Colombo has 8 beautiful rooms and 2 maisonettes which are fully restored and decorated in a traditional way so as to provide the guests with a welcoming feeling.

All rooms have a WC, a telephone, TV, mini-bar, air-conditioning and Central Heating for the winter. Guests will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The friendly staff at the Reception will gladly offer their help to the guests if they want to visit Western Crete. They will also advise you on the places that you should visit if you want to try the famous healthy cretan cuisine and of course the places to go for a great night out. 

The Porto del Colombo is a tall building which is 600 year old! It has gathered a rich history over the past centuries. It passed from a turkish military building (housing a hamam and slave quarters) to being a French embassy and last but not least it was inhabited by a great Greek political figure, Eleftherios Venizelos, who used it as his political office.
